This video was originally an old propaganda film about the war but grace edited it to just focus in on the perception of war at this time and the way war was not really advertised as something negative the way it is today but instead it made it seem like something simple like joining a club and the boy does not seem to seriously consider anything he is just confused about it. I think her message was pretty clear because when you watch it you almost forget what exactly johnny is trying to be convinced of doing, the only reason you might think it is war is because of the image of the tanks but if grace were to edit that out and just leave clips of johnny and the voice over I don't really think anyone would guess right away that this was war propaganda
In the original video the purpose was to promote war; a propaganda video. By editing the original clip, the newly edited video showed how people didn't display war as a bad thing. Instead, it encouraged the thought of war and put it in a positive light. It was very understandable and the editing was good too!
